euro 2024 germany tournament flag in the wind close up

The UEFA European Championship, also known as Euro 2024, will start in Germany on June 14 and end with the final match on July 14. Here’s the prediction based on players’ and team analysis.

Group Stage Analysis

Group A

Group A is going to be on fire from day one. France, who won a dominating European championship in 2020, is equipped with an attack that can only be described as frightening spearheaded by Kylian Mbappé who just cannot be stopped. The 25 year old has been setting and breaking records all over the place having scored 33 goals and provided 12 assists in Ligue 1 last season alone.

On the other hand, Portugal brings with them experience. Though his goal scoring abilities may have slightly waned, Cristiano Ronaldo’s leadership qualities still remain invaluable at this level where he will be supported by Bernardo Silva’s creativity which saw him register 10 strikes while setting up 15 others during the previous premier league campaign.

If you want to see Euro 2024 winner odds and winners, don’t underrate Denmark. They have a very strong defense marshalled by Simon Kjaer. Besides, there is also a young attacking midfielder called Mikkel Damsgaard that plays like nobody’s business out there. So far he scored 12 times in addition to providing 7 assists while playing for Sampdoria last season. Can Denmark upset the apple cart and emerge as this competition’s dark horse?

Group B

Group B will give fans a chance to see some great matches and watch new talented players come up. The Belgium team called the “Golden Generation” understands that this might be their last time to win. In the Bundesliga last season, Kevin De Bruyne had 15 assists as a midfielder which shows that he is still doing well. Also, Romelu Lukaku who plays up front scored 22 goals for Inter Milan in Serie A.

Spain has a young team with many good players who are hungry for success. Pedri is one of these guys, and he plays as a midfielder at Barcelona where he has been doing very well lately. Ferran Torres is another one. He joined Barcelona this season but already scored 18 goals for them in La Liga so far. However don’t forget about Switzerland because they always make it hard even though they don’t have big names like other teams do. Xherdan Shaqiri leads the team from the middle while Granit Xhaka shields the defense single-handedly at times.

Group C

Italy who won the last World Cup are in Group C alongside Netherlands. Italy is still strong defensively with Giorgio Chiellini being their main man at the back four. Jorginho plays as central midfielder which allows him to control games easily due to his accurate passes that break opponents’ lines frequently throughout matches. On the other hand Netherlands poses different type of danger upfront because they have Memphis Depay leading from line of attack after netting 20 times while playing for Lyon during 2020/2021 season in French Ligue 1. Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jong links everything in midfield areas.

People will be watching closely to see if Zlatan Ibrahimovic will make his last international appearance. Is it possible that he could do something else great in this Euro competition? On the other hand, Anthony Elanga is waiting for his chance at Manchester United – he’s a very exciting talent and he wants to show everyone what he can do.

Group D

England has been blessed with many young footballers, like Phil Foden who scored 18 goals and made 10 assists while playing as an attacking midfielder for Manchester City during the 2020-21 season of Premier League. Declan Rice also stands behind him providing defensive cover at central midfield position.

Hosting the tournament gives Germany a chance to thrive on it. Their squad will be captained by Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich. Established stars like this offer leadership and continuity but they must also provide opportunities for emerging talents such as Kai Havertz who scored 15 times last season. The likes of Luka Modric bring wealth experience having played many times before in big stages like these ones – he might as well bid us farewell here in Euro.

Group E

South America will be showcased when Brazil takes over in group E. This team always has flair for attacking style of play and with players like Neymar among them, it becomes even more dangerous. The tactical genius behind PSG’s success story over the past few years could also have something up his sleeve for this tournament. We are yet to see what Vinicius Junior does, but what we know is that last season alone he scored 25 goals while playing at Real Madrid in Spanish La Liga.

Argentina counters with a different kind of firepower – Lionel Messi, still a world-class goalscorer, on a mission to finally win a major trophy with his national team. This could be his last chance to etch his name in international legend.

Don’t discount Uruguay. Their resolute defence, marshalled by Diego Godin, is notoriously tough to crack. Additionally, young talent Darwin Nunez, Liverpool’s new signing, possesses the potential to explode on the big stage. Can he be the X-factor that disrupts the established order?

Potential Breakout Stars

The beauty of the Euros lies in the potential for unknown players to steal the show. Keep an eye on Mikkel Damsgaard (Denmark) – his dazzling Serie A displays hint at a breakout performance. Another player to watch is Anthony Elanga (Sweden). With Zlatan potentially nearing his curtain call, Elanga could seize the opportunity to announce himself on the international stage.
